OBITUARY
Cheston Ritch Hearron
November 8, 1976 – February 18, 2021
On Thursday February 18th, at 5pm, Cheston Hearron left this life, at the age of 44, and entered the presence of Jesus. Cheston Ritch Hearron was born with Down Syndrome on November 8, 1976 in Shreveport to Ed and Lucy Hearron.
Cheston had an amazing ability to recall people’s names. He displayed a magnetic personality that instantly captured one’s attention causing an immediate connection. He possessed a comical wit unmatched by anyone else I’ve known. The timing of his one liners left us laughing uncontrollably. Cheston was also a skilled artist. DaVinci used a paintbrush but Cheston used a magna-doodle. He drew portraits of friends and family that put a smile on our faces. Cheston had an unconditional love that truly captured who he was. Cheston is best known for his hugs. His hugs were genuine and long. He also had a radar that sensed anyone who needed a hug. He always saw the best in every situation. The world is a much better place because of Cheston Ritch Hearron.
Cheston was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents Reverend & Mrs. JR Hearron and Mr. & Mrs. Louie Mitchell Joiner. He is survived by his parents Ed and Lucy Hearron, his two brothers, Chan and wife April, Chris and wife Sandy, nieces; Haley, Landry and Harper, nephews; Caden and Hutson, Uncles; James Hearron, “Mickey” Joiner and wife Aunt Cynthia Joiner and numerous cousins who loved him like a brother.
Honoring Cheston as pallbearers will be Caden Hearron, Hutson Hearron, Mitch Joiner, Michael Joiner, Hunter Self and Ken Leonard.
The Hearrons would like to thank the staff of Holy Angels, The Carpenter House, and Dr. Michelle Self for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the Hearron family suggests memorials be made in Cheston’s name, to Holy Angels 10450 Ellerbe Road Shreveport, Louisiana 71106

Cheston was truly a blessing in my life. He loved Jesus, his family and many friends as only he could, with all his heart. I loved teaching him in Sunday School at Calvary, but I learned more about life from him than I taught him. Cheston taught me to love life and stay close to Jesus. Well done, Cheston.

I thank God for allowing Cheston to touch so many lives. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. So glad you allowed us to follow and be inspired by the love he shared so freely. He truly made a difference. I am sorry for your loss on earth, but I know Joe Perry and Cheston are having a great conversation in heaven!

Cheston's sweet smile (and the inevitable huge hug he'd give me) whenever I was fortunate enough to see him, always brightened my day and lightened my heart. The world will be a less joyful place without Cheston in it. Deepest condolences to the Hearron family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sweet Cheston! I babysat him when he was a baby, & then when I started teaching, he was in my first little class! That boy loved crayons! He was sneaky when it came to eating crayons!
He was always at church greeting me with a hug or kiss on cheek. As time passed, & I had moved because of work, I didn’t see him for long periods of time. I was always so amazed that when I did see him he knew my name & greeted me with hugs & kisses on the cheek! I’m so glad God lent Cheston to us here on earth! He was truly an Angel! He was such an example of how we should all love one another! Prayers for all the family! I know you will all miss him so very much!!!
I love you, Cheston! Can’t wait to see you again in Heaven!!❤️

I was 15 years old when Cheston was born. I remember him so well. Cheston was always happy and loved everyone. He would always find the good in everyone and everything. His love for the Lord was tremendous and the love for his parents and brothers just as much. This world and myself are better for having Cheston in it! Mr. Ed, Mrs. Lucy, Chan and Chris, my thoughts and prayers are with y'all at this time.

I have known Cheston since the day he was born. He was a remarkable child who grew up to be a remarkable young man. There is no way you could be around Cheston and not smile. He was a delight. He gave the best hugs and never forgot you. He loved Jesus and he loved all he met. This world will be a lot dimmer without Cheston in it but oh heaven will be a lot sweeter with Cheston there. I know we will see him again. Praying for Ed, Lucy, Chan and Chris as well as their family. Love the Hearrons and keeping you all in my prayers for the months to come. Thank you all for sharing your special angel with the world. I am so blessed to have known Cheston and will certainly miss him.

I had the privilege of staying with the Hearron family in the 1980's and 1990's during mission conferences at Calvary Baptist Church. From the first time I met Ed, Lucy, Cheston, Chan and Chris I fell in love with this family. They all made me a part of their home. Of course, the icing on the cake was spending time with Cheston when I was not at the mission conference. We had such great fun and he loved my puppets and Ed and I shared our magic tricks. Cheston was certainly an unforgettable person. He would always brighten my day with his love, hugs and laughter. I will keep his memory forever in my heart and think about him during trying times when I need that big smiley hug. I love him and his family and will never forget the love they shared with me. There will never be another Cheston. I often ask myself, "Is he an angel sent from GOD?" Hebrews 13:2 Cheston sure made a difference in my life.

Cheston was an amazing person. The Lord knew what he was doing when he made Cheston. And through Cheston, when the Bible said people were made in God’s image, you could tell it was true. Cheston lit up a whole room when he walked in, didn’t matter if you were sad, upset, or down. He would wrap his arms around you and tell you he loved you. And his artistic talents, the Lord just continued to bless him. He will be missed, but never forgotten. I will always hold a special place in my heart for the Hearrons. Prayers for the family during this time. And thanks sent to the Lord for blessing the world with Cheston.

Cheston was one of a kind. He not only was able to remember names , but could remember birthdays. I remember , Ed having to ask him the birthday of someone and without thinking , he would tell the date and who it was for. When you met Cheston you didn't put out your hand , he would give a big hug that lasted for some time. Cheston had many people he could act like. Elvis was one of his best . What a blessing and great joy to have known Cheston . We all will be reunited with him some day. God bless the family of Cheston and give them all comfort knowing Cheston is sitting at the feet of JESUS . Rest in peace my BROTHER in CHRIST.

I knew Cheston my whole life, and he always brought joy and encouragement when in his presence. EVERYONE loves Cheston Hearron!!! He is truly one of a kind special. I know I'll see him again, and I hope he's on my welcoming committee at the pearly gates. He can tell me what to expect beyond the gates. Maybe he'll have one of his special pictures drawn for me. We all loved Cheston! He loved big ole Ken! He drew lots of pictures of Kenneth & always hugging us! Such a sweet, loving young man!
At camp he was always letting the boys know, they better not mess with Mr. Burson’s stuff or they’d have to answer to him! Lol
We’ll miss his big smiles & big hugs 🥰❤️
