Dan William Malone

Dan was born November 14, 1945 in Plain Dealing,, Louisiana to Travis William and Mildred Cox Malone.

Dan was strong and hardworking, and found great joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing,, bowling and growing watermelons, and he especially enjoyed sharing these interests with the people he loved. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we are comforted knowing that he is reunited with his greatest love, Johnette.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Jeff Malone; and his wife of 52 years, Johnette Cavender Malone.

He is survived by his daughters, Amy Malone Christian (Corey) and Tracy Malone Racine (Randy); grandsons, Ethan Racine, Lewis Racine and Hudson Racine; sister, Minette Cox (Bill) and brother, Larry Malone.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Ethan Racine, Lewis Racine, Hudson Racine, Randy Racine, Corey Christian, Larry Malone, Terry Monroe and David Ponthieux.

Visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108, US, on September 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 am. A Committal Service will take place at Mineral Springs Cemetery, 4599 LA-822, Dubach, LA 71235, US, on September 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Dan’s final resting place will be Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery, in Dubach, LA.
