David Lane Freeman

David Lane Freeman, age 90, of Shreveport, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 18, 2022. David was born in Mooringsport, Louisiana to Hubert and Georgia Freeman on January 20, 1931. David honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a self taught Electrical Engineer for AT&T and retired after many years of service. David loved music, playing his guitar, cooking, model railroads, traveling and telling stories of all his life's adventures to his family. David loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most. David was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert James Freeman and Georgia Mae Wilson Freeman; wife, Patsy H. Freeman. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Davie Lee Freeman (Celeste), Lonnie James Freeman (Beverly), Cheryl Freeman Brister (Ken) and Paula Scaff. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. B.J. Maddox officiating. Interment will take place in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Jason Freeman, Jared Freeman, Justin Freeman, K.C. Brister, Caden Freeman and Chance Freeman. The family would like to extend special thanks to Molly, Daron and Shan with Christus Home Health and all the other employees who helped us through this difficult time.
