David Smith Sr.

David was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and cherished spending time with his family. He took great pride in his German heritage, and his greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by Vera Smith, W.J. Smith, Gerald Smith, John Montgomery and many beloved friends. He is now reunited with his loved ones.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Olivia, Courtney, David Jr., Desmond, Damien, Blaine, Annelies and Eva; brother, Charles Crawford; sisters, Verena Ardison and Kimberly Crawford; along with 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, located at 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108, on December 12, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Celebration of Life will take place at Centuries Memorial on December 13, 2025, from 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Pastor Henry "V" Ferguson.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be David Smith Jr., Desmond Smith, Damien Smith, Denzel Hughes, Charles Crawford, Ladarius McGee and Steven McFerrin.

Fond memories may be shared with the family as they remember David’s life and the love he carried for each of them.
