Don was an iron worker and a proud member of the local Iron Workers Union. His work reflected the values he carried throughout life—dependable, hardworking, and committed.
Beyond his career, Don was actively involved in several rodeo associations and competed in rodeos as a steer wrestler. He especially loved entertaining other steer wrestlers at his home, where they would gather to practice—sharing time, skill, and camaraderie in a way that brought people together and left lasting memories. Don will be remembered with deep respect for the life he lived and the steady presence he was to those who knew him.
Don is survived by his wife, Nan Stoddard; his daughter, Peggy Sue Scogin (Robert); his granddaughter, Sara Nicole Scogin; and his sister, Mary Lou Bryant. He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Stoddard, and his mother, Mary Opal Lane Stoddard.
The family extends sincere gratitude to his caretaker, Monica Liles, and to Gentiva Home Health for their care and support.
