Doris B. Burgin Crista (McCandless)

Shreveport, LA- Doris B. Crista (McCandless) went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Bert Langley assisted by Rev. Crawford Williams. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born on August 19, 1924 in Foreman, AR. Doris worked for the State of Louisiana in the Social Services Department for 25 years. She was a member of Kingston Road Baptist Church where she was a longtime member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Crista, her parents, two brothers and a grandson, Michael Terry.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vineta Vincent (Don), Cathy Terry (Jerry) and Donald Crista (Sheila); grandchildren, Keri Vincent, Kristi Davis (Tim), Joshua Terry (Anna) and Lindsey Warren (Jason); great grandchildren, Christopher Vincent, Dylan Garsee, Halie Stevenson, Rachel Stevenson, Nevaeh Terry, Jyllian Terry, Allyssa Terry, Andrew Warren, Matthew Warren, Brantley Terry and soon to be Whitley Terry.

Honoring Doris as pallbearers are Christopher Vincent, Dylan Garsee, Joshua Terry, Jason Warren, Terry Vinson and Tim Davis.

The family suggests that donations may be made to Kingston Road Baptist Church or Holy Angels.
