

Celebration of Life services for Doris B. Fraiser, 82, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 16, 2016, in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Kenny Shepherd officiating, assisted by her grandson, Brian Herren. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA.
The family will welcome friends and family during visitation, Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Centuries.
Doris Fraiser was born in New Orleans, LA, on July 26, 1933, to the late Eleanor and Paul Benoit and was called to her Heavenly home, Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Shreveport, LA. She was a 1951 graduate of Byrd High School and a retired Driver’s License Examiner. In 1974, she married the love of her life, SFD Chief, James W. Fraiser and for 41 years, they were devoted companions, traveling to every continent on the globe, often to assist with missionary work in various capacities.
Doris Fraiser is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lillie and Charles Offutt; her parents; first husband, Bobby Lynn Walker; two infants and special nephew, Randy Loe.
Left to cherish her precious memory will be her beloved husband, James W. Fraiser; daughter, Teri Walker; son, Steve Walker and wife JoAnn; five grandchildren: Trae Herren and wife Angela, Tantea Hinderberger and husband Damon, Brian Herren and wife Erica, Bobby Walker, Steven Walker; five great-grandchildren: Brent, Logan and Katie Herren, Myah and Mayce Hinderberger; her very special Yorkie baby, “Peanut”; along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Honoring Doris as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandson. Katie Herren, will honor her great-grandmother with a song.
The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated nurses of Willis Knighton MICU, who never left her side; the therapy staff of Garden Court Rehab, who visited her often at her home and finally a very loving thank you to her devoted sitters, Ronda Faust and Jeannie Moore.
