

Celebration of Life services for Doris Hay Wyatt, 72, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Johnson of Old Pisgah Baptist Church, Marthaville, Louisiana, officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Wednesday, June 29, 2011, from the hours of 5-8 p.m. at Centuries.
Mrs. Doris was born April 1, 1939, in Creston, Louisiana, to the late Thomas C. Hay and Evie Wooley Hay and was called to her eternal home June 27, 2011, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She worked as a receptionist at Hill Crest/Centuries Memorial Funeral Homes upon retirement. Mrs. Doris will be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother, caring sister, doting grandmother, and devoted friend to those who knew her.
Mrs. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister Bobbie Cloteal Lawman. Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Doris will be her husband of fifty years, Melvin C. Wyatt; one son, Clint Wyatt and wife Tandie; one daughter, Tamela Greer and husband Keith; three sisters, Alta Hamilton and husband Marvin, Louise Bone and husband Joseph, and Anna Hall; two granddaughters, Kendall and Kailey Greer; along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Kirit Patel, M.D., Ronisa Matthews and the Staff of Life Care Hospital for all the care and compassion given Mrs. Doris and her family in their time of need.
Honoring Mrs. Doris as pallbearers will be Gary Glackin, Buddy Herring, Pat James, Jonathan Nicholson, Keith Greer, and Benny Lloyd Dove.
