Dr. Dyess was my doctor for many years and he delivered my youngest child in 1982. He took very good care of us and my memories also include the cowboy boots he always wore. Rest in peace, Dr. Dyess, and thank you.

My heart broke when I heard that Dr. Dyess had passed. He was such a wonderful Doctor and person that truly cared for his patients. He helped me through a rough time in life when I had a tumor in my uterus and performed a hysterectomy .... and he was there in the wonderful moments when he delivered my first granddaughter. My prayers are with his family .... I know he is heaven hearing those well deserved words .... well done my good and faithful servant. RIP

DR. Dyess Was The Doctor that cured my Cancer. He was the most Gentle Man. I didn't go to him until we moved here, and I had to leave my Doctor who delivered my children. It was hard to leave my beloved Doctor Koster, but DR. Jerry made it so much easier, I will always remember the sign on the ceiling over the table. (Relax ) I knew I was in good hands. RIP Peace to a Good Man.

Dr. Dyess was the only gynecologist I had. I started seeing Dr. Dyess at age 20 & he delivered all 4 of my children. And he delivered my nephew as an emergency c-section. Such good & happy memories with Dr. Dyess. An awesome doctor & friend to have known.

Dr. Dyess was my doctor for all my pregnancies and before. He was not on call when my first son was born so Dr Mauris delivered him. But Dr Dyess delivered my other two sons. He was the best doctor any woman could ever ask for. May you rest in Peace. Thank you for your wonderful care and for bringing into this world my most precious sons.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Dyess while I was a nurse on Post Partnum at WKS. He is truly one of a kind, very caring and wonderful doctor and person. He always wore his cowboy boots. His stitching was legendary. He probably should have been a plastic surgeon, but thank goodness he was a wonderful and caring OB-GYN who touched many lifes in his profession. We have had many many discussions about LSU football and baseball. I feel sure that LSU will have extra help from Dr. Dyess this Saturday night. GEAUX TIGERS!!! We will always remember you and miss you, Dr. Dyess. May you family find peace and strength during this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Dyess from 1987 until he retired from OB. I can truly say he was one of a kind. I learned a lot from him during those years. He was a wonderful doctor and a ll around good person. They just don’t make them like that anymore. He loved his work and it showed. Thank you for making my job fun Dr. Dyess. Job well done! RIP
Prayers for comfort and peace for the family during this time. Thank you for sharing him with all of us in L& D.

Dr. Dyess delivered my middle child, James Edward Evans, on September 26, 1977. There were 26 babies born that day at WKN. I will never forget Dr. Dyess telling me that he was running around that delivery room "catching 'em like catching footballs". He had a great sense of humor!! Rest in Peace Doc!! You were truly one of the best!!
