Eddie Crenshaw, age 82, departed this life on September 21, 2021, in Alexandria, LA. Eddie, youngest of 9 children of Isaac Luther "Bud" Crenshaw and Nellie Beckner Crenshaw, was born on August 19, 1939, in Shreveport, LA. In 1958 he graduated from Byrd H.S. where he was active in ROTC and Distributive Ed. Eddie then worked as a warehouse supervisor at Bingham Pumps. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
Eddie was caregiver to his mother until she passed in 1981 when he moved to Pine Prairie, LA. to live near his sister, Penny Crenshaw Johnson. He loved his horses, reading, watching old movies, and hunting deer at the camp of Clay and Mark, his nephews.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents, 7 siblings, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kristy Crenshaw of Bandera, TX., brother, Billy Crenshaw of Oxford, MS., several nieces and nephews, and Evelyn Fouts Davis, lifelong friend and former wife.
Grateful appreciation is expressed to caregivers Daisy and Larry Johnson and helpers Charlotte Dupre and Charlotte Stewart. Eddie loved his family and he will always be in our hearts.
