

Shreveport, LA- A memorial service celebrating the life of Eileen Vivian Macken, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Minister Darwin Hunter.
Mrs. Macken was born on October 6, 1925 in Terre Haute, IN and passed away on February 24, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. Eileen was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Macken loved working crossword puzzles. She was very involved with her church at North Highland United Methodist Church. She taught the Justice Sunday School Class and was President of the U.M.W. at her church for 4 years. She volunteered with "Meals on Wheels" for many years.
Mrs. Macken was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Macken; sisters, Betty Fears and Bertha Harrington and one brother, Donald Parson.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Eileen are her daughters, Betty Stephens and husband Ronnie, Adele Huckaby and Jackie Macken; grandchildren, Jackie Armstrong, Matt Stephens, John Huckaby, Camisa Huckaby and Amanda Huckaby and great grandchildren, Blake Andrews, Dalijha Stephens, Gage Armstrong, Jace Armstrong and Camrin Huckaby.
