Services celebrating the life of E.B. Wright, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be retired Southern Baptist Pastor George Rogers formerly of Koran Baptist Church, Haughton, LA, assisted by Billy Alger and David Jergins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Wright was born on April 9, 1927, in Monroe, LA. He and his wife Yvonne Wright owned and operated Wright’s Corner Store in Haughton, LA., where they were active in the community. Mr. Wright was a member of Koran Baptist Church enjoyed fishing, boating & water sports, teaching outdoor activities, hunting, and gardening; he loved people and enjoyed helping others in the community.

Preceding E.B. in death were his parents; his wife Yvonne; one brother Melvin C Wright and a son-in-law, Millard Ray Johnson, Sr.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of E.B. are his children, Brenda Johnson; Steve Wright and wife Lynn; sister Inez Wright Haddad; grandchildren, Cory, Krystle, Ray, Kim and Jodi; great grandchildren, Millard, Madison, Dustin, Peyton, Raven and Kristen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thankfulness to Toni Chandler and Cassandra Walker for their loving hospice care.

Honoring Mr. Wright as pallbearers will be his nephews: Buddy Wright, Johnny Moore, Kip Wall, Billy Alger, Stacy Fife and David Jergins.
