Eric Harvey-Walker Kemper

Waiting to welcome him to Heaven is his maternal grandparents, Leon and Pinkie May; paternal grandparents ,Harvey and Rosa Mae Kemper; baby brother, Chase A. Kemper; his favorite Aunt Layne and Uncle James Parris.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Lisa Ann Kemper, Shreveport, LA. Lauralee Kemper, Shreveport, LA Sarah Hewes (Jonny) Spokane, Washington. Jennifer Blankenship (Damian Sweat) DeRidder, LA; brother, Josh McCollum (Shelia) Shreveport, LA; uncles and aunts, Uncle Philip May Sr.(Chris), Aunt Linda Smith, Uncle David May(Sissy), Uncle Ron Kemper(Evelyn), Uncle Buzz Kemper(Marie), Aunt Rosemary Hunt and Uncle Lee Kemper(Denise); nieces and nephews, Ericka and Chloe Hewes, Melissa Stracener, Brian Beebe, Paige Jordan, Becca and Robby Williams, Olivia Blankenship, Caroline, Wyatt and Marshall McCollum and their mother, his bonus sister, Ashley Beck; and six great nieces and nephews

Eric was a Champion Swimmer for Special Olympics on the Caddo Challenger Team. Swimming was his true passion.

Eric loved his family and shared a special bond with his brother-in-law Jonny Hewes, who was more like a brother. He also loved family get-togethers especially Thanksgiving and Mardi Gras and being able to see his best friend Paige and his Uncle Gene Smith.

Eric’s heart was pure and innocent and it was seen in the love he had for his cats, especially Sunshine.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Christus Schumpert Highland ER and ICU and our heartfelt love and gratitude to Willis Knighton North’s Covid ICU doctors and nurses for the gentle and loving care given to Eric during his stay there.
