Shreveport, LA Ervin Thomas Rost was born January 7, 1933 in Kaplan, LA. He went to be with his Lord January 18, 2014 in Shreveport. He retired from the Navy after 25 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He also retired from the LA State Police Campus Security at LSUS. He was a member Of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Rost is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary B. Rost; his parents; three brothers and two sisters. He leaves behind two sons, Thomas Rost and wife Andrea and Robert Rost; a grandson, Chris Irwin and wife Tabatha; two grandchildren, Christian and Haileigh Irwin; a sister, Frances; and many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, 11:00 AM at Centuries Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Msgr. Earl V. Provenza. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
