Mr. Eugene Buford Stone

Shreveport, LA- A graveside service celebrating the life of Eugene B. Stone, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Minister Joe Huffman. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Eugene was born on June 24, 1920 and passed away peacefully on January 12, 2016. Mr. Stone was born in Texas but resided in Shreveport for 70 years. He worked for Union Pacific for 43 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Opal Bebee Stone and his second wife of 42 years, Sallie Robbins Stone; son, David Edward Stone and step-son, Michael Gay.

Eugene is survived by four daughters, Kay Monroe and husband John , Patsy Lee and husband Billy, Sandra May and husband Henry and Robin Phillips; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to his wonderful caregiver, Leona "Jonese" Jones and her husband, Dave. The family also wishes to thank Rick Morris who looked out for Eugene.
