Evelyn as she was affectionately known graduated from Fair Park High School in 1965 and worked at AT&T for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran of Shreveport, LA. Evelyn was a skilled seamstress by hand or machine. She enjoyed creating detailed embroidery. She was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team. Most of all, Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Schroeder; sons, Kevin Schroeder, Michael Schroeder and Brian Schroeder; daughters-in-law, Jamie, Elizabeth and Barbara and grandchildren, Ivy, Levi, Lucas, Lucy, Erica and Jeff.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother, Mayme D. Hill; father that raised her, James T. Hill and half sister, Margaret Owen.
