We all have our own personal Jackie stories.  Mine are of my Uncle Jackie.  I will miss your emails, "smack talk" texts, pictures of the hunting lease and of you and your friends watching football games.  When ever I hear the saying "forever young" I will always think of you.

Frances,my deepest condolences to you and your Family for your loss, Jackie was a great and Honorable man, I learned a great deal of Knowledge from him the little time I spent with him. I had the priviledge of knowing Jackie for over 30 years when he would call on my Mom Georgia at Albertsons. He was always quick with a smile and a hug. Jackie was a wonderful and kind man. I know he will be missed.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Forrest Benjamin (Jackie) King our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jackie.   And to Jackie it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Vietnam War while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Jackie, we commend you for your honorable service.  You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction.  You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country.  We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.

You meet good people every day but every once in awhile you come across a great man like THE. A no nonsense hard working honest man. Continued prayers for you Frances,Kim,Ryan and the rest of your family. Rest in peace Jackie as much as I love Harvick I hope that smoke wins it all this year.

Jackie always came in the office (Shamrock) with a smile on his face and a coffee cup in his hand.  He will be missed greatly. My prayers go out to all his family and friends. We'll miss you!

I did not know this man well but every time I was in his presence I experienced his kindness, joy and love for life.  I am so sorry for your loss Frances but thankful that you shared  all those years with this great guy.

I worked with Jackie at Magnolia. In fact, he trained me. Absolutely one of my favorite people.  I'm so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with your family.
