Freddie Glenn Williford of Heflin, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord at the age of 85 on Friday, May 10, 2024. He was born December 14, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Leon and Lucille Williford.
Freddie worked for Wray Ford for 36 years and Libby Glass for 15 years. He was a man who could do anything and loved tinkering with something. Freddie loved working on old cars, tending his herd of cows, and pate swap meets. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family as much as possible. Through the years Freddie and Clara were faithful members of Kelly Memorial Baptist Church, Western Hills Baptist Church and Bistineau Baptist Church. In all of these churches, Freddie served at an active Deacon. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Williford and Lucille Webb Williford; daughter, Vicki DeMoss-Griffing, sister, Helen Allscott; step-mother, Eva Williford (Meme).
Left to cherish his memory is is loving wife of 67 years, Clara G. Williford; sons, Tommy Williford (Annette), and Rusty Williford (Terrie); grandchildren, Cody DeMoss (Margie), Heith DeMoss (Hallie), LeAnn Payne (Bryan), Justin Williford (Ashley), Levi Williford, Jordan Landry (Mitchell), Taylor Washington (Phillip), Noah Shaw, Jared Griffing, and Paula Griffing; great grandchildren, Anna, Allie, Zeke, Molly, Austin, Darbi, Wyatt, Gavin, Dixie, Parker, Gavin, Brooklynn, Christian, Kameron, and Raelynn; son-in-law, Jimmy Griffing; sister, Earline Venable.
A visitation for Freddie will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pavilion at Centuries Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Bob Alexander officiating. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Tommy Williford, Rusty Williford, Justin Williford, Cody DeMoss, Heith DeMoss, and Levi Williford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
