

SHREVEPORT, LA – Celebration of Life services for Gary Lynn Frazier, 66, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, in Centuries Memorial Chapel with Pastors Eddie Kent and Mike Anderson of Haynes Avenue Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow in Centruries Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Centuries from the hours of 5-8 p.m.
Gary Lynn Frazier was born April 20, 1945, in Springhill, LA, to the late Paul Garland and Era Bernice Franklin Frazier and was called to his Heavenly home January 5, 2012, in Shreveport, LA. Gary graduated from Sarepta High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Theology. He worked for DOTD for 20 years before retiring and joining the City of Shreveport as a City Inspector where he continued to work for the past 20 years. Gary could be found most days drinking coffee with friends and co-workers at RJ’s. He loved racing cars and spent many Saturday nights with his sons at the local dirt tracks. He was an avid Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners and Yankees fan.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Terry Frazier. Left to cherish his memory will be his beloved wife Suzanne Simmons Frazier. Gary and Suzanne would have celebrated 18 years of marriage on April 30 of this year. Also left to share his stories are his five sons, Brian Frazier and wife Kristi, Brett Frazier and wife Lisa, Tanner Frazier, Chris Wells and wife Sara and Scott Wells; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Frazier Beverage and husband Chuck, and Shannon Amidon; and one sister, Ann Paine. Gary loved his nine grandchildren, Brian Justin, Elizabeth, Bailey, Cody, Colby, Josie, Brayden, Sadie Grace, and Levi, due this spring, along with extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Honoring Gary as pallbearers will be Chris Wells, Ron Chatlin, Brian Frazier, Cody Amidon, Andrew Stevenson and Glen Hartwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Wells and Daniel Kent
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the 5th floor at Willis Knighton Pierremont for their kindness and devotion to Gary and his family. While Gary is no longer on this earth, we know that he is rejoicing with his Savior in Heaven and all those who are children of the Lord will be with him again soon.
