Glen "Moe" Ross Salvaggio, 77, of Carthage, Texas and Elm Grove, Louisiana, passed away on June 12, 2026 at Schumpert Highland, Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on October 17, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Moe was a proud American, a hardworking truck driver, and a man who loved his family with all his heart. He never met a stranger and would bend over backward to help anyone who needed a hand.
He loved working with his hands. Whether he was woodworking, drawing, rebuilding old cars, or playing a good game of chess, Moe was happiest when he had something to keep his mind and hands busy. Of all the vehicles he worked on, his Ford Ranger was his favorite project.
His family meant everything to him. He was especially proud of his grandkids and great-grandkids and loved watching his family grow. The time he spent with them was what mattered most.
In 2015, Moe gave his life to God and turned his life around. From that day on, he worked hard to honor the Lord and live a life of faith.
Moe is survived by his daughters, Linda "Nikki" Johnson (Kevin) and Angelique "Angee" Salvaggio; his granddaughter, Brittany Miller (Michael); his grandson, Jeremy Johnson (Kelsie); his great-granddaughters, Trinity Maree Miller and Linsley Sage Johnson; his great-grandson and namesake, Grayson Ross Miller; sister, Emma Lee Whitson of New Orleans, Louisiana; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosario Bernard Salvaggio and Constance May Hall Salvaggio, and his loving dog Tackle Box aka Baiter Box & Tackle Dog.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, LA 71047, where Moe will be laid to rest.
