

Shreveport,LA-Funeral services celebrating the life of Gloria Nell Parrish White,86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. John Harp of Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. White was born on November 15, 1928 in Joyce, LA to Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Parrish and passed away on March 4, 2015 in Flower Mound, TX. She attended grade school in Winnfield, LA and graduated from Castor High School in 1946. She moved to Shreveport with her beloved husband Bobbie. She worked at Willis Knighton Hospital for a number of years as a Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse. After retirement, she later worked at Lin wood Middle School as a special education teacher's aide for 13 years. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Gloria is her husband, Bobbie L. White; two sons, Douglas L. White of Shreveport and John David White and wife Jana of Flower Mound, TX and four granddaughters, Brandy Cook White, Maghan Nicole White, Allyson Taylor White and Hayley Michele White. "Granny" as she was known to them loved and adored these precious children. She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Parrish Geiger and Louise Parrish Verver; sister-in-law, Marjorie White Tucker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mrs. White as pallbearers will be: Bob Verver, Ronnie Johnston, Billy Moore, Rudy Tucker, Dalton Toups and Gerry Johnston.
