Harold Spencer Jackson was born to the late Willie Jackson and late Bessie Lee Price on August 28, 1947 in Houston, Texas. He was reared in a strong, loving, bonded family with a strong religious foundation in Studewood (Houston, Texas). On September 28, 2021, God came and healed him of all pain and illness at the Overton Brooks VA Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Harold accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Houston, Texas and continued his relationship with God throughout his life.
He received his elementary and secondary education from Houston Independent School District. In the Spring of 1965, Harold graduated 4th in his class from Booker T. Washington High School. He continued his educational journey at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While attending Morehouse, he became a member of the swim team. In November of 1966, he decided to end his educational journey and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a Secret Serviceman. Harold, then enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving in the armed forces, he worked as a Helicopter Controller and Operational Dispatcher. He fought in the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge in 1971. Harold also worked as a Food Service Manager for multiple years at Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas.
In the Summer of 1964, he met the love of his life, Patricia Ann George, and married her on April 22, 1967. They were married for 54 years.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Willie Henry Jackson, Sr.; his mother, Bessie Lee Price, Bonus Mother Florence Jackson and Bonus Father Victor Price; his brother, Willie Henry Jackson, Jr., and his nephew, Paul Jackson. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving and caring wife Patricia A. Jackson; his devoted daughter, Wynona Jackson; his son, Harold Jackson, Jr in Katy, TX; three sisters: Jerre Wells of Hiram, GA, Ruby J. Jackson of Glenn Heights, TX and Cynthia Jackson - Burns of Oakland, CA (Alvin); his brother Willie Wayne Jackson of Los Angeles, CA.; and three God - Grandchildren: Nailah Maiden, Saniah Major and Anderson Major and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
