Services to honor the life of Mr. Harold R. Weatherly, 81, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Murry Hodge of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Tuesday evening between the hours of 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harold was born on February 10, 1930, in Hamburg, AR and passed away on March 21, 2011. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and later retired from International Paper Company with 38 years of faithful employment. During his employment with IPC, he worked in Natchez, MS, Mobile, AL, Camden, AR, and retired while in Shreveport, LA.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Weatherly; sister, Virginia Deering; and both parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Monica Bozeman and husband, Paul, Keith Weatherly, Melissa Shaver and husband, Rodney, and Ken Weatherly and wife, Becky; one brother, Edwin Weatherly and wife, Carolyn; five grandchildren, Laura Bozeman, Emily Bozeman, Taryn Shaver, Tanner Shaver, and Tyne Weatherly; and one great-grandchild, Maddie Weatherly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Home Hospice, 1035 Margaret Pl., Shreveport, LA 71101.

Honoring Mr. Weatherly as pallbearers are Waylon Branch, Owen Rogers, Roy Delaney, Melvin Butler, John Embry, and Bob Wilson.
