Harriet Kendrick Carroll, age 90, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Born in Provencal, Louisiana, Harriet was a woman of remarkable strength and kindness, who dedicated her life to her family and community.
Harriet served as an administrative assistant for WT Kendrick Accounting, where she worked side by side with her husband, William Kendrick, helping him build and manage the business. Her unwavering support and commitment made her an integral part of their professional success. Beyond her work, Harriet was known for her nurturing spirit and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always ensuring that her family was well cared for. Harriet’s home was a gathering place for family and friends, where she loved to entertain, especially during holidays. Her warmth, infectious laughter, and flair for hosting made every occasion memorable. She had a talent for bringing people together and creating a sense of belonging, making her home a haven for all who entered.
Harriet carried herself with grace and dignity, always presenting herself as a “fancy lady” who took pride in her appearance and demeanor. Her elegance extended beyond her outward appearance; she approached life with a spirit of positivity and generosity. Known as the life of the party, she had a knack for making others feel at ease and included.
She is survived by her sister, Bennie Nelms; her children, Roger Hudlow (Sandy) and Lisa Moore; her grandchildren, Jason Hudlow (April) and Adam Hudlow (Aleisa); and her great-grandchildren, Landon, Michael, Jack, William, and Lily Hudlow.
Harriet was preceded in death by her first husband, William Kendrick, and her second husband, Albert Carroll. She was also predeceased by her parents, Henry Scott and Lola Perot; and her sisters, Helen Justice, Audrey Meador, and Betty Davis.
A celebration of life will be held at graveside for Harriet on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. She will be laid to rest in Lot 105B, Grave 3, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park.
