Born on July 27, 1933, in Vivian, Louisiana, Hattie lived a remarkable life filled with love, faith, and service. A woman of Southern charm and grace, she embodied abundant love and devotion to her family and was a steadfast example of Christian faith, wholeheartedly loving the Lord.
Hattie was a dedicated member of Brookwood Baptist Church for over 50 years, where her faith and fellowship brought light to those around her. She also served as a loyal executive secretary for Robert P. Evans, an independent oil and gas producer, for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Bobby W. Thompson; her parents, Bill and Audis Jordan; and her sisters, Billie Milner and Anna Ross.
Hattie is survived by her son, Mark Jordan Thompson and his wife, Vickie, of Tyler, Texas; her daughters, Nancy Thompson Rak and her husband, Darren, of Rockwall, Texas, and Amy Thompson Parman and her husband, Chris, of Woodstock, Georgia.
She was a devoted and loving "Mammom” to her eight grandchildren: April Ruley and Amber Thompson; Julianna Kinnear and her husband, Josh; Alex Rak and his wife, Sarah; Elizabeth Rak; Sam Parman; Olivia Parman; and Max Jordan Parman.
She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy: Marlee, Aven, Adelyn, Kase, Blakely, Tatum Hattie and newborn Clara, and “one on the way”.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Hattie’s love, guidance, and strength shaped the lives of her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Rak, Sam Parman, Max Parman, Josh Kinnear, and Will White.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her granddaughter, April Thompson, for her loving and compassionate care during Hattie’s recent illness.
Hattie’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is now reunited with her loved ones in the eternal embrace of God’s grace.
