Hubert Calvin Hervey, Jr., age 88, of Stonewall, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Hubert was born May 18, 1935 in Dallas Texas to Hubert Hervey, Sr. and Lois Hervey.
Hubert received his Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from LSU Baton Rouge and was a lifelong dairy farmer in Desoto Parish. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved bird watching, bird watching and more bird watching. It truly was his passion. He loved anything and everything to do with nature. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
He was preceded in death by his parents,Hubert Hervey, Sr. and Lois Gable Hervey; first wife, Betty Jean Hervey; second wife, Patricia Hervey; son, Stephen Hervey; sister, Sylvia Barham.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, David Hervey; granddaughter, Shelby Hervey Stiles; grandson, Dillon Michael Hervey; stepdaughter, Sherry Susilovich (Bruce); step granddaughter, Alli Triplet (Kyle); brothers, Richard Hervey and Donald Hervey and their families; step sons, Perry, Chris, and Mike Tuminello. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Hubert will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 pm. Interment will take place at Powell Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Jeff McCrory, Alan Leach, Paul Robertson, Kyle Triplet, James Kahler and Paul Holder.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Red River Refuge and LSUS Life Sciences Museum.
