Above all, Jack Bradley Arivett was a believer in Jesus Christ. He was saved by the blood of Jesus and received his salvation as a young man. He has demonstrated his love of Christ through his dedication to his wife of 67 years and his never failing love of his daughter, Sherri Lynn Arivett Gates.
Jack served in the United States Airforce as a KC 130 flight engineer. He later served as a Civil Service Aircraft Mechanic at Barksdale Airforce Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Jack retired from the Civil Service and founded Aerojet Industrial. He was a leader in the field of power blasting and mobile power washing where he created fit for purpose washing, waste water treatment, and blasting equipment. He serviced many industries including refineries, tube mills, gas transmission pipelines, roofing manufacturers and numerous truck fleets.
Jack and his wife Lynn, retired from their business, Aerojet Industrial in 1995 and began to tour the southern country side of Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Florida. They caravanned in motor homes with their lifelong friends Dale and Virginia Hester. The foursome stormed the Smokey Mountains, witnessed the first aircraft flight scene at Kittyhawk, North Carolina, rolled across the rice fields of Arkansas and lollygagged in the foot hills of Branson Missouri. Jack was an outdoors man who enjoyed fresh air, “at any temperature” wildlife and was always fascinated by the mechanical accomplishments of mankind.
The last months of his life were spent dreaming of the day he would join his wife in heaven, he is now a happy soul.
