James "Jim" Caldwell Lee, age 79, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Monday December 10, 2018. He was born March 27, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Odis Ellidge Caldwell and Josephine P. Mitchell.
A graveside service of Mr. Jim will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veteran Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11 AM. Bro. Shane Deville will be officiating the services.
He graduated from Haughton High School, where he was involved in many sports. After high school, he enlisted into the United States National Guard and later served his country again by joining the United States Navy. He later worked as a truck driver and most recently becoming a Pastor. As Pastor, he got to travel to many places to deliver the word of the Lord. He was Pastor at the Chapel at Heritage Manor Stratmore Nursing Home for the last four years.
His past times were singing and playing guitar at the churches he traveled to across the Ark-La-Tex, he enjoyed going to the dirt track and was a member of the Mopar Club.
James had many titles in his life, the most important being darling to his wife, dad to his children, pawpaw to his grandchildren, friend to most, and Pastor to his congregations. If you knew Jim, you knew he had a great sense of humor and he could have a conversation with anyone. He will be deeply missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Arrington Lee; children, Renee Tidmore, Bridgette Brown and husband Sidney, William Thomas Lee and wife Nancy,Charles Odis Lee and wife Peggy and James D. Lee and wife DeLana; stepsons, Dean Prothro and wife Kathy, and Bubba Prothro and wife Rhonda; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many many beloved friends.
He is preceed in death by his parents and brother, John Calvin Caldwell.
The family would like to thank the V.A Medical Center of Shreveport and Ringgold Nursing Home Staff for caring for Mr. Jim.
