Services to celebrate the life of James Edward Shelton will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2010, in Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Shelton was born on August 18th, 1956, in Many, LA and resided in the Shreveport area where he worked very hard throughout his life as a craftsman carpenter. After a courageous fight against cancer, Mr. Shelton passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 24, 2010.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Shelton and Marie Shelton; brother, Hank Shelton; and nephew, Jeffery Hall. Survivors include his children, Angela Shelton and Danny Cook, Bobbie Shelton and Stephen Foster; grandchildren, Tylar and Lucas Foster; sisters, Pam Nunley and Gwen Catanese and husband, Daniel; brother, Lonnie Shelton and wife, Roberta; sister-in-law, Roxie Shelton; close cousins, Joanne and Bobby McComic; wife, Kathy Shelton; lifelong friend, Charlene Shoemake; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.
