Mrs. Jeannene D. Dormeyer Shackelford

Shreveport, LA- Graveside services celebrationg the life of Jeannene D. Shackelford, 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. James Phillips. Visitation will be held from 11:45 a.m until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Jeannene D. Shackelford went to be with The Lord on May 17th, 2015. She was preceded in death by husbands, John D Moore, Robert E. Street, and James Fred Shackelford. She left behind her 3 children: Son, Joseph Byron Moore & wife Nancy of Tampa Bay, Fl. Daughter, Kimberly M. Causey of Addison, TX, and son, John Damon Street & wife Laura of Arlington, TX. 3 step children, James Craig Shackelford, Michelle D. Shackelford, and Christy Johnson & husband Jerry . Her "other" daughter, Stephanie Moore Ward & husband Shane of Groves, TX. Her sister, JoElla Vergis & husband Johnny M. Vergis of Shreveport, LA. Jeannene was blessed to have 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Jeannene was raised in Shreveport and graduated from Byrd High School. She attended and was active with the youth group at Foursquare Gospel. She was the owner of Home Upholstery in Shreveport for over 35 years. Jeannene was a homemaker at heart. She loved to cook, sew, care for her loved ones and her home, work crossword puzzles, watch football, and loved to spend time at her lake home. She was loved by many and will forever live in our hearts.
