Jennifer "Jennie" Truly Terral was born July 23, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Billie Wanda Yancey Truly and Fletcher William Truly. Despite being deaf her whole life, Jennie as her friends and family knew her as, excelled. She graduated high school from CE Byrd and went on to get a Bachelor's degree in business from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. She also was a great homemaker and did a wonderful job raising her only child, Matthew.
Jennie thoroughly enjoyed walking with her loving dog, Cooper through her neighborhood daily and greeting all of her neighbors with a smile. She enjoyed going on vacations with her family around the USA and in Europe.
Jennie went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the age of 75. She is now reunited with her husband, Norman Alfred Terral and her parents. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Matthew Truly Terral and wife, Charmaine Rafael Terral and her cousins, Susan Elgin Rice, Jim Elgin and wife Mary Ann Elgin and John Elgin.
A visitation for Jennifer will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park.
