Jeri was a bookkeeper at Bennetts Plumbing for the past 10 years. She was Office Manager for 18 years at Kmart. Jeri loved reading a good book, shopping, and going to church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and provided for them well. She was a friend to everyone she met and loved helping people. To know Jeri was to love her. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, Rexol Smith, Sr. and Alma Bohe Smith; brothers, Rexol Smith, Jr. and Kendall Smith.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Terry Sikes; daughter, Amanda Hughes and her husband Colby; grandson, Waylon Hughes; son, Clayton Sikes, and sister, Sandra Collins.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jeri will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 with Rev. Lance Stockman, Rev. Michael Pool and Rev. Kathy Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Clayton Sikes, Colby Hughes, Randy Stockman, Kevin Stockman, Matthew Sikes, and Shane Sikes.
