Jessie Andre Henry, age 28, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Jessie was born August 24, 1993 in Aschaffenburg, Germany to Terry Henry Sr. and Elke Dorpmueller Baumfield.
Jessie graduated from Captain Shreve High School and received an Associate Degree from Bossier Parish Community College. He was active in the Army National Guard and served as an EMT and Firefighter for South Bossier Fire District #2. Jessie was a professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, certified scuba diver and founder of "Four Quarters", a non-profit organization.
Jessie was a wonderful father, son and brother. He loved spending time with his daughter, helping other people, country western dancing and mixed martial arts fighting. Jessie attended Riverpark Church in Shreveport. To know Jessie was to love him. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rosie Henry and James Bryant; maternal grandparents, Antje Stoelk Langer and Bernd Dorpmueller and aunt, Charlsetta Henry.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Terry Henry Sr. and Elke Baumfield (James); stepmother, Triena Waddles-Henry; daughter, Karmen Henry and her mother Kristen Henry; brothers, Terry "TJ" Henry Jr. and Thomas Henry; sister, Tatjana Pilch; stepbrother, Trevor R. Smith; stepsisters, Krishna D. Smith and Kendra J. Smith; uncles, Dietrich Henry (Donna), Thomas C. Henry and James Henry (Velicia). He is also survived by his aunts and other relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Jessie will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Hirsch Coliseum, 3701 Hudson Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana 71109. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Roosevelt Seaberry officiating. Burial will take place at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana immediately following the service. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be members of the Fire Department, U.S. Army, and MMA Fighters.
