Shreveport, LA –Funeral services celebrating the life of Josie Adkinson McCloskey, age 77, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, in Centuries Memorial Chapel with Reverend Stan McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Josie was born on February 2, 1936 in Shreveport and passed away on February 27, 2013 in Shreveport. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA, Past Worthy Matron and a member of the Fair Park Order of Eastern Star and retired from Bell South /AT&T. Josie was also, co-owner along with her late husband of 55 years, Cecil L. McCloskey, of JLC Saddles and Tack and a resident of Frierson for 25 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Lissa M. Skilling and husband, Patrick; two grandchildren, Carissa Skilling and Colt Skilling; two great-grandchildren, Shael Elizabeth and Kenneth; a sister, Jean Bell and husband, Roger; and brother, Bo Adkinson .
