Juanita Elizabeth (Bonds) White, age 94, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Juanita was born March 19, 1927 in Fellowship Community, Louisiana to Tressie McCuller and Thomas Jefferson Bonds.
Juanita worked as a receptionist for Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office where she retired after 12 years of service. She was a devoted Christian, loving mother, and wife. Juanita and her husband, Adolph were givers of their time and talents to church, friends, family, and community. Juanita worked in the homebound ministry, organizing meals for families in their time of need. She was also part of the Personnel Committee, and served on several Pastor Search Committees throughout her church life. Juanita taught Sunday school for many years at Queensboro Baptist Church that eventually became Willow Point Baptist Church.
Juanita continued to serve the Lord by caring for others much of her life. She became the primary caregiver for her parents and Adolph’s parents until they passed away. She also was a caregiver for many members of the Willow Point Baptist Church.
Juanita is survived by her daughters Judy Houston (Gary); and Connie Harlan (Benjamin); grandchildren Brandon Houston (Brandee), Jeff Houston (Bonnie), Katie Eller (Mike), Emily Sita (Brandon) and Christopher Harlan; 9 great grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Adolph White, Jr.; parents, and brother Thomas J. Bonds, Jr.
A funeral service for Juanita will occur Monday, May 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71108, with Dr. Kenny Joyner officiating. The family will begin receiving friends Monday from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will take place in Centuries Memorial Park following the service. Honoring Juanita as pallbearers are Brandon Houston, Jeff Houston, Christopher Harlan, Brandon Sita, Doug White and Christopher White.
