Kathleen worked for many years as a process checker with Western Electric/AT&T, where she was admired for her diligence and strong work ethic. Beyond her career, Kathleen’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She was a devoted and loving mom who poured her heart into raising her children, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
She cherished time spent at her camp on Toledo Bend, traveling the country in her R.V., and quilting with her children in her early years — making memories and treasures that will be passed down for generations.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Cyndi Bass (Ronnie) and Terrie Neff (Cecil); her son, Butch Stroud (Kim); her stepson James Boyd; her life long friend Eloise Pate; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ellis Stroud and Bob Boyd; her parents, Jodie J. Thigpen and Vinnes Jane Courville; twin grandchildren; her siblings Richard Thigpen, E.J. Thigpen, and JoAnn Keller; and her stepchildren Allen Boyd and Robbie Boyd.
