Mrs. Kathryn Dees Dees Adams

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services for Kathryn D. Adams, 68, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Kathryn was born on December 31, 1946 in Shreveport, LA and passed away peacefully on July 2, 2015. Mrs. Adams was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cross stitching and reading. Kathryn's foundation in her faith was very strong and unparalleled. Mrs. Adams retired from the Louisiana Department of Motor Vehicles.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Mae Keeler; father, Harold Joseph Keeler and one sister, Marie Elizabeth Hester.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Kathryn is her husband of 50 years, David Lewis Adams; daughter, Georgia Elizabeth Woodard and husband Don; son, David Lewis Adams, Jr. and wife Liz; sisters, Janie Baker and husband David and Diane Dees; grandchildren, Leo Nutt, II and wife Allison P. Nutt, Amie Smith and Jacob Smith; her great grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Adam McMillian Nutt and Alice Kathryn Nutt and nephew, Ronnie Hester. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Bradford Guest Care, Dr. P.V. Blanchard and Gamble Hospice, especially, Sherry Powell for all the care shown to Mrs. Adams.
