Katina was a devoted mother, adoring grandmother, loving sister and beloved friend. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She made everyone feel like a friend. Katina brought boundless energy and joy into every room and had an infectious enthusiasm for life. She enjoyed attending concerts, traveling, especially for her girl trips, shopping sprees, playing pool, running and watching baseball.
Katina was a member of a local pool league for the last 20 years. A couple of her favorite trips, was competing in Las Vegas for tournaments with her team. As an avid runner, she completed multiple 5k and 10k runs, along with the Log Jammer Half Marathon in Shreveport. She always showed her unwavering support for the Atlanta Braves, win or lose.
Katina went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She will be deeply missed. Her vibrant spirit made every moment with her truly special. Her laughter, passion and love will forever be in our hearts.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sierra Blake; granddaughter, Kinley; sisters, Jennifer Comford and Brittany Johnson. She is also survived by numerous other family members and close friends she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A visitation for Katina will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Bro. Kevin Arinder. Honoring her as pallbearers will be James Johnson, Joe Johnson, Joseph Comford, Cason Johnson, Stephen Johnson and Yancy McVay.
If you are able to attend the services, Katina did not want anyone to wear black, she loved pink and vibrant colors.
