It is with great heartache that we announce the passing of our Keith Wayne, also known as K-Dub, KiWi, Keifer, & many more. He was a beloved husband, father, G-pop, brother, & uncle. After celebrating his 55th birthday on Father’s Day, he went “Raising Hell” into the pearly gates on July 24th, 2024. Keith Wayne’s larger than life personality and trademark stubbornness right up until the very end will NEVER be forgotten.
Keith Wayne came dancing into this world on June 16th, 1969. He was a loving son to the late Lester Ray and Yvonne Williams. He was a lifetime resident of Blanchard, LA where he was raised the baby of their 3 children. His brother Jerry Ray Williams, wife Whitney and Sister Leslie Renee Hicks, husband Ray. And an abundance of cousins and friends he considered just as close as siblings.
Keith graduated from Northwood High school in 1987. He went undefeated in North LA for 2 years in a row during his wrestling career, making it to State many times. Keith Wayne was known as the life of the party and a friend to too many to count. If he was up to no good, I’m pretty sure we could all name quite a few lifelong best friends that would be right there alongside him cheering him on!
After high school he spent many years working as a Phlebotomist at Willis Knighton Medical Hospitals. When he left Willis Knighton he left with a tremendous amount of friendships, many that he still spoke to even during his final hospital stay. He worked a few different odds & end jobs before going into wireline in the oil and gas industry. The name Keith Wayne was well known in the wireline world due to his hard work, knowledge, and helpful hand anytime anyone needed it.
Keith Wayne loved to cook everything on the grill. We might be there waiting for it to finish for a minute, but he always got it done! He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and his son, He also loved watching the Saints or LSU Tigers football. He was always willing to sit down and drink a cold beer or two with anyone. There wasn’t a place he walked into that he didn’t at least know one person. He enjoyed target practice with his late father, brothers, sons, daughters, & grandsons whenever they had a chance. And for goodness sake don’t challenge him at a game of quarters!
He is preceded in death by his parents & his sister Kimberly Carol Williams. He is survived by his wife Jeri Nicole Williams. Daughter Jaida McKenzie Williams. Son Thomas Johnson. His two older children Kimbre Nicole Jones, Husband Russ. Son Kolton Wayne Williams, Fiance’ Allie. Brother Jerry Ray Williams Sr., Wife Whitney. Sister Leslie Renee Hicks, Husband Ray. Nieces & Nephews; Rocky, Ryan, Little Jerry, Jordan, Sherie, & Kristina. Grandchildren; Tayten Jones, Tucker Grace Jones, & Kutter Wayne Knighton and many Aunts, Uncles, & cousins.
Everyone that knew Keith Wayne, knew the tremendous amount of love he had for his family. He could not be prouder of his kids and grandkids. The impression he made on everyone he knew was a gift. Although he wasn’t perfect, none of us are, he loved fiercely and left behind a plethora of people and family that love him too, flaws and all. He will be missed by so many, but his legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. Cherish the time you have left with the ones you love. Don’t waste a single second, you never know how many chances you’ll get to make troubled relationships right.
Psalms 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Finally in the famous words of Keith Wayne and possibly that Billy Currington dude – God is great, Beer is good, & People are crazy.
