Kenneth Delee Brister, age 63, of Shreveport, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2023 at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after a medical emergency. Ken spent his final days at his "heaven on earth", the green camp, on his favorite weekend of the year.
Ken was born August 17, 1960 to L.D. and Frances Maurice Brister in Minden, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. Ken married Cheryl Brister in 1991 and took on her three girls as his own, and later had his beloved son, KC. He loved teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and Men's Quartet at Rose Park Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed music, playing golf, and spending time on the lake. He was devoted to his work and work family at The Antler Shed Deer Blinds and antagonizing his good friend Danny Weaver. Ken was known for his sense of humor, stubbornness, and willingness to serve others. His final act of service was giving the gift of life to countless others through organ donation.
