Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army with honor and integrity, and carried that same sense of responsibility and strength throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially working in his yard and garden, where he found peace and purpose.
Kenneth was a true jack of all trades and had a natural talent for fixing things and figuring things out. He was a self-taught handyman who could repair almost anything and took great pride in doing things himself. His practical knowledge and willingness to tackle challenges, big or small, made him a constant source of support for his family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Rhonda Lester (Ken), Candice Cleveland (Daniel), Christopher Creel (Ryann), and Laura Creel; his sister, Edith Johnston (D.W.); his grandchildren: Chad Greenwood, Tyler Greenwood, Mitchell Greenwood, Natalie Creel, Cameron Creel, Audrey Creel, and Tucker Creel; and his great-grandchildren: Aurora Crawford, Luka Creel, London Greenwood, and Lindsay Greenwood.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Creel; his parents, James and Geneva; his brothers, James and John Creel; and his sister, Linda Cabrera.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenneth’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 1501 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, Louisiana 71104, or online at www.stjude.org.
The family would like to thank Crystal and McKayla for their compassion, professionalism, and dedication during our dad's final days.
