Services to honor the life of Mr. Kent E. Robertson, 70, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Stowell, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Keithville. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Friday evening between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kent was born on October 14, 1940, in Putnam, OK and went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2011. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Kent retired from AT&T following 34 years of faithful employment and was a member of First Baptist Church of Keithville, an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He shared his love of hunting with his sons, taking them with him at the early age of 7 years. Kent also enjoyed vacations, going on cruises with his wife, and having a good time. He was a loving husband and daddy who will be deeply missed!

Kent was preceded in death by his son, Eric Robertson; father, Clifford E. Robertson; and his grandmother, Arrena Robertson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Patricia Adcock Robertson; son, Scott E. Robertson and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Chris Robertson, Justin Robertson, and Meghan Robertson; two of his “chosen” grandchildren who were like his own, Connor Harris and Lilli Hooker; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, whom he raised, Steve Adcock and Rhonda Hooker; sister-in-law, Ellen Starling and husband, James; mother, Zoe Imel; brothers, Alton and Jerry Robertson; and sister, Gina Robertson-Marrow.

Honoring Kent as pallbearers are his two grandsons, Justin and Chris Robertson, along with James Starling, David Starling, William Cunningham, Ric Clarke, Terrel Tubbs, and Leon Edwards.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Keithville, Building Fund.
