A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Centuries Memorial to celebrate the life of Kevin Dale Willis. Kevin passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by the memorial at 10:30 am. Dr. Bill Crosby will conduct the service.
Kevin was born November 7, 1962, in Shreveport, La., to parents Jim & Kitty Willis. He is preceded in death by his father.
Kevin is survived by his two daughters, Heather Lea Willis, Diana Willis, & he was the proud grandfather of Carly Rae Schrier. He is also survived by his mother, two brothers; Butch Willis and wife Valerie, Robby Willis & wife Marsha, one sister Kelly Ann Willis Glovier & husband Wade, numerous nieces and nephews.
Kevin was a friend to everyone and was like his father in many ways in that he never refused help to anyone and there were very few who did not think highly of him. There will always be an empty place in the hearts of his family & friends.
