Linda passed away early Sunday morning, July 1st, at Grace Home, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 15, 1945, in Winnsboro, LA to the late Esters and Oney Mae Bowlin and later moved to Ruston where she graduated from Ruston High School. Linda had a love for music and enjoyed singing and dancing. She studied acting at the Shreveport Little Theatre where she developed her talent and performed for the area nursing homes. As much as Linda loved singing and dancing, she also loved helping! She attended Centenary College and received her certification in order to help the unfortunate learn to read and write. Linda was a lovely, talented lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her!
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Darlene Otwell. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Joseph G. Ebarb; two sons, Joseph Michael Ebarb and Joseph David Ebarb; one daughter, Kayla Denise Ebarb Vance and husband, Darrell; one brother, Marcus Edward Bowlin; and three grandchildren, Joseph Derek, Justin Scott, and Kalynn Grace Vance.
Honoring Linda as pallbearers are Russell Hicks, Steve Summerlin, Doug Hayes, Johnny Mouser, J.P. Meshell, and Jimmy Dupont.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Drs. Snead and Massingill, Schumpert Cancer Center, and the caring nurses and staff of Grace Home for all of their kindness and care.
