Linda Annette Bumgarner Fredericks, 67, of Shreveport, Louisiana, went to be in the presence of the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born on January 30, 1958, in Nashville, Arkansas, Annette lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lindell Bumgarner and Alta Mae Lingo, and her beloved husband, Lee Fredericks. She poured her heart into raising her cousins’ two boys, Dakota and Skyler, who were the light of life. Annette touched so many lives with her laughter, joy, and her sweet and loving nature. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as watching The Andy Griffith Show and classic black-and-white Westerns, and cherished her loyal companion, her dog Ivy.
A devoted church secretary and administrative professional for over 38 years, Annette served with dedication and grace. Her courageous battle with cancer reflected her strength and faith, embodying the words of the Apostle Paul: she fought the good fight and finished her race. In her final days, Annette prayed for healing, and early Sunday morning, her prayer was answered as she entered the presence of the Lord, free from pain, tears, and suffering.
Annette’s life serves as an inspiring example of how to love God, serve others, and show kindness to all. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, conducted by Brother Kenny Joyner and Brother Sonny Simpson. There will be no visitation prior to the service, but a Celebration of Life reception will follow immediately at Willow Point Baptist Church, 5500 S. Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, La. Annette will be laid to rest beside her beloved Lee at Clear Lake Cemetery in Goldonna, Louisiana, with no graveside service.
We want to say a special thanks to all who helped Annette. We also want to thank the staff of Willis-Knighton Greenwood Road and The Carpenter House Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Israel through Samaritan's Purse in Annette’s memory. May her legacy of faith and love continue to inspire us all.
