Linda met a young airman when her stepfather was stationed at Wichita Falls, fell in love, and married him. She was married to Jack Legleu for 62 years. They raised four children together; Donna, Matthew, Michelle, and Tye. Once Jack retired from the Air Force, Linda pursued a career as a nurse. She spent thirty years at Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Once Linda retired, she became very involved with her church where she was a leader of church greeters, ladies' prayer group, and office duties. Linda loved to sew which went hand in hand with the ladies' Bible study ministry of making "prayer" blankets. These blankets were prayed over by the ladies and then given to individuals who were struggling with their salvation and other issues. Linda loved holidays and decorating was a must. Christmas was her favorite holiday to decorate. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert McDowell and Lois A. Love; son, Matthew Clovis Legleu; brothers, Johnny Warren McDowell and James B Love; very special first cousin (more like a sister), Christine Ragsdale Buckhalter; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jack M. Legleu, daughters, Donna Driscoll (Jim), Michelle Price (Barry); son, Tye Legleu (Tara); grandchildren, Kristy, Summer, James "Jimmy", Dillon, Shelby, Jake, Devin, Mackenzie, and Olivia; great grandchildren, Rylie, Jackson, Mason, Nyalie, and Raegan "Peanut".
