Linda Lurana Reese, 77, was born December 30, 1948, in Fort Bragg, California, and passed away on March 13, 2026, at 4:50 p.m. Linda will be remembered as a loving, devoted, and steadfast light in the lives of those who knew her.
Linda proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserves and later dedicated many years of service working for the Department of Veterans Affairs before retiring. Her life reflected quiet dedication, strength, and service. The values she carried into her home and family life, where she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Linda found deep joy in the simple but meaningful things in life. She loved spending time outdoors and had a true green thumb, pouring care and creativity into her beautiful backyard flower beds and goldfish pond. Her backyard was one of her favorite places to be—a space where she could grow nearly anything and where her creativity was always on display. She also loved fishing, especially during visits to her brother Richard’s lake house.
Linda enjoyed exploring garage sales and antique shops, collecting unique treasures from markets, small stores, and neighborhood yard sales.Crafty and resourceful, Linda had a special gift for turning what others might consider “junk” into something beautiful, often transforming found items into handmade decorations for her flower beds and outdoor spaces. At home, she loved watching game shows and was well known among family for answering nearly every question on Jeopardy! with impressive ease.
Linda is survived by her children, Marcia Camp (Ricky), Keith Lensing (Ollie), and Ron Lensing (Trish); her stepchildren, Terrance Reese (LaKasha), Alahundro Reese (Cherita), Marlan Reese (Cynthia), and Jamal Reese; her brother, Richard Tullos (Diane); her sisters, Jeanie Nichols (Steve) and Janet Strickland (Charles); and her sweet little companion, EmyLou. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reese; her father, Russell Tullos; her mother, Bobbie Jean Carr (Charles); her sisters, JoAnn Tullos and Sundena Russell; her brother, Chuck Carr; and her grandsons, Brandon Lucas and Jimmy Pease.
A Celebration of Life at Graveside will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, Louisiana 71047, on March 23, 2026, at 10:30 am.
