A visitation for Linda will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 with a Celebration of Life service following the visitation at 3:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Bro Sean Embree and Bro. Darwin Hunter will be assisting. Honoring her as pallbearers are Alan Phillips, Casey Cella, Collin Cella, Pat Cella, Todd Moore and Charles Dean.
Mrs. Wright was born on July 2, 1942 to Joseph Earthel Phillips and Ella Ruth Phillips in Madill, Oklahoma and passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 78.
She was a devoted Christian wife of 56 years and a loving Christian mother to two daughters. She dedicated her life to serving Christ and being a faithful Christian example to those who knew her. She loved attending church and visiting the church family and attending area wide gospel singings. She loved sewing, making baby blankets, and collecting tea pots.
She was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ in Blanchard, Louisiana; a member of the VFW American Legion in Koran, Louisiana; and a member of the Parents Association of Northwest Louisiana Developmental Center, Bossier City, Louisiana.
She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Ruth Wright Morgan and husband Gary of Sarepta, Louisiana and Margaret Paulette Wright of Bossier City, Louisiana; brothers, Earthel Ray Phillips and wife Judy of Wichita, Kansas and Michael Dennis Phillips of Allen, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years of marriage, Harry Paul Wright; her parents; and brother, William Richard Phillips.
