Lotel "Lou" Bloxom

Lotel "Lou" Bloxom of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Lou was born September 17, 1936 in Marthaville, Louisiana to Erastus Clyde Wyatt and Sarah Mae Moore Wyatt.

Lou retired from the Caddo Parish School District, and had also worked for many years for Brookshire's Groceries in Shreveport, where she lived with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bloxom; parents, Clyde and Sarah Mae Wyatt; brothers, Arveal "Jim" Wyatt and Frank "Buddy" Wyatt, and sister, Mavis Vines.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Betty Remedies; daughter, Brenda Snow; sons, Ken Bloxom and Tim Bloxom; grandchildren, Jeanine Dewitt, Jaret Snow, Jared Prymek, Lauren Chancellor, Hallie Bloxom, and Luke Bloxom. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation for Lou will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1:00 Pm to 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM with Bro. Dale Sauls officiating.
