

Louise Wolf Campbell passed away July 24, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 28 at 10:30 a.m. followed by graveside services at Centuries Memorial Park and presided over by Father Matthew Long. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Ithaca, NY on June 17, 1920 to Raymond J. Wolf and Sylvina E. Wolf. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip A. Campbell, whom she married in 1945, and her only sibling; Dr. Robert Wolf of Rochester, NY.
She is survived by her children, Peter W. Campbell and spouse Phyllis B. Campbell, Susan C. Slatten and spouse Tommy Slatten, Gretchen C. Zell and spouse Leonard Zell, James P. Campbell, and Thomas R. Campbell. Her grandchildren are Eleanor C. Mangan and spouse Jim Managan, Heather C. Adams, Rebecca C. Fehrenkamp and spouse Shane Fehrenkamp, Jason P. Slatten, Kathryn L. Slatten, and Lauren C. Zell. Her great-grandchildren are Sabrina Mangan, Trew Adams, Haley Adams, Kara Garza, Greysen Fehrenkamp, and Elle Currier.
Louise was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and served in several church service circles, the Altar Society, the Guild, minister of Care, participated in the Card Ministry and was one of the first female Lay Eucharistic Ministers in the parish and received the Diocesan Medal of Honor as well as serving as a troop leader for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts at St. Joseph’s School where all five of her children attended.
The family would like to thank her wonderful and dedicated caregivers who looked after her for over 3 years. They are Vickie Pea, Connie Banks, Kim Cash, Laquita Pea, Erica King, Sheila White, Doretha Mahoney and Gaberiel Simon. The family would also like to thank the people at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care of our mother.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Slatten, Colby Currier, Shane Fehrenkamp, Allen Redling, Patrick Hart, and Lt. Colonel Edward Finuf.
